MotionCoach Usage

MotionCoach Advantage All other athletic analysis systems are based on side by side comparison. On one side you have a student, on the other is a ideal. You reference one video to the other through drawing a line on one then the other. This analysis works but it is very limiting, the system was design to compare motion not communicate motion. With MotionCoach videos, lines, pictures, sounds, even live video are mixed together on a virtual whiteboard giving the instructor total freedom to visual communicate to the student the point he/she is trying to make. MotionCoach video blending is another great visual technology where an ideal or goal motion is superimposed over the student’s. This allows much better comparison because the two motions are together. Instant feedback is the latest tool in the instruction of motion; and MotionCoach has it. The student puts on Virtual Reality glasses, allowing the student to see themselves live with a superimposed virtual framework. The student now move using the framework as a reference. This technology connects the feeling of a new motion with instant corrective feedback. Athletes who practice in this environment feel their way into better motion.

Motion Evolution Complex athletic movement is an evolution and doesn’t change overnight. Because of this MotionCoach contains an advanced video management system called the Video Gallery. An athlete's video is managed and categorized, with additional information vital to tracking the progress of the student. On return lessons, the student's videos from the last session can be quickly recovered and reviewed, then compared to their current motion. Also, a large factor in the evolution of movement is lesson review. To go back and review the lessons learned limiting the return of bad habits. MotionCAD FS (For Students) was developed to enable the student to take the lesson home on CD so it can be reviewed on a home computer. MotionCAD FS is a program, which is basically a MotionCAD file viewer, but it gives the student an interactive tool to look over the lesson. The student can play audio notes, start/stop the video, zoom in/out and even print the lesson. MotionCAD FS is more then just a single program it is a complete, lesson distribution system. The distribution kit (located on the MotionCoach CD) includes a full CD image, including autostart scripts, user friendly installation guide, quick start documentation, and the MotionCAD FS installation program. The instructor can easily create professional take home interactive lessons. The student only needs to put the CD in the computer and GO.
